Reverse Engineer Anything for Adobe Photoshop

Want a Photoshop feature, workflow or Linux alternative that fits your needs? Start with the result you want your agent to investigate.

A Photoshop guide can give your agent a starting route for investigating your own installation or files with REA. It is not a working Linux port or a Photoshop download. Tell the agent whether you want to understand a feature, explore a reconstruction, keep editable layers, or compare a workflow elsewhere. The guide records desktop versus web, operating system, colour mode, bit depth and plugins before selecting an inspection path. Native PSD/PSB data and exported images answer different questions; REA support for your actual input must be checked. A complete Photoshop reconstruction has not been verified here.

1. Get the guide

Unlock this guide for 1 credit, then download and unzip SKILL.md with the REA setup and software-specific target reference. Application software is not included; the same account can download the unlocked guide again for free.

2. Choose your agent

Open the extracted SKILL.md in your agent or attach its local path to your request.

This is a manual file handoff. Host-specific automatic installation has not been verified.

3. Give it your goal

Copy the request below and send it together with the extracted SKILL.md. Your agent must be able to read local files and run the required tools.

This field is not sent to this site. Your agent or model provider may transmit data it reads; review its policy before sharing private files.

Your request

Read the extracted rea-photoshop-guide/SKILL.md and its target reference for my Adobe Photoshop goal.

My requested outcome: "Ask me what result I want before making changes."
Agent: Codex

Check and reuse the shared local REA installation, or prepare the official repository when missing. Identify the authorized app or files and record version/context. Keep my requested outcome as the task, confirm changes before editing, preserve originals, and report actual evidence, unsupported inputs and exact blockers. Review the model data policy before reading private files.

Copying prepares a request; it does not run REA or change your software or files.

Start with the result you want

Can I get Photoshop on Linux with this?
There is no verified Photoshop port in this package. Bring that goal to your agent: it can identify the local input, dependencies and evidence needed to assess a route. A compatible export or alternative workflow would be a separate result, not proof that Photoshop itself runs on Linux.
What if I want a specific feature rebuilt?
Describe the behaviour and an example input/output you own. The guide routes that goal to REA and asks the agent to separate observed behaviour, implementation possibilities and unknowns before changes. It does not replace your goal with a preset demo.
Which files and version details matter?
Use an authorized installation, your own PSD/PSB, or PNG/JPEG/TIFF samples. Record desktop or web, Windows or macOS, release, plugins, colour profile and bit depth. A flattened image cannot establish that editable layers, smart objects or plugins survived.

Before you download

Does the ZIP include Photoshop?

It includes SKILL.md and references, not the application, installer or license. Obtain Photoshop through Adobe if your task requires it.

Can the agent read every PSD or plugin?

No format or plugin compatibility is certified here. It must check the current REA workflow against the actual input and report an unsupported input explicitly.

Why is this page about Photoshop?

Recent REA comments ask about Adobe apps on Linux, a broader category than Photoshop. This guide focuses on Photoshop; those comments do not establish a working Photoshop reconstruction.

What this preview covers

For your own Photoshop analysis, feature investigation, reconstruction planning or file/workflow interoperability goal. The reference distinguishes application behaviour, native documents, exported images and plugins. The agent chooses a supported route from the actual material; no particular parser is promised.

What has been checked

Guide 0.1.0-preview · Checked 14 October 2026. Package integrity, target-reference contents and website handoff are checked. End-to-end REA execution for this software, native-format support and automatic installation in every agent remain unverified.

If you get stuck

If only an exported image is available, identify which layer, colour or plugin evidence is missing. If the task requires an installed app or cloud feature you cannot access, use the Adobe entry point and record the login or installation step. Keep originals and work on copies.
