Want a professional CAD behaviour understood or reconstructed, or a model that stays useful elsewhere? Start from the SOLIDWORKS result you actually need.
This guide prepares your agent to investigate a SOLIDWORKS goal with REA using an authorized installation or your own CAD files. It does not provide a working open-source SOLIDWORKS replacement. Native SLDPRT, SLDASM and SLDDRW inputs must be distinguished from STEP/IGES exports: visible geometry is not the same evidence as feature history, configurations, mates or drawing references. Record release, platform, add-ins, units and export settings, then choose a check suited to your goal. REA support for the available input and any claimed reconstruction must be demonstrated rather than assumed.
Unlock this guide for 1 credit, then download and unzip SKILL.md with the REA setup and software-specific target reference. Application software is not included; the same account can download the unlocked guide again for free.

This is a manual file handoff. Host-specific automatic installation has not been verified.
Copy the request below and send it together with the extracted SKILL.md. Your agent must be able to read local files and run the required tools.

Your request
Read the extracted rea-solidworks-guide/SKILL.md and its target reference for my SOLIDWORKS goal. My requested outcome: "Ask me what result I want before making changes." Agent: Codex Check and reuse the shared local REA installation, or prepare the official repository when missing. Identify the authorized app or files and record version/context. Keep my requested outcome as the task, confirm changes before editing, preserve originals, and report actual evidence, unsupported inputs and exact blockers. Review the model data policy before reading private files.
Copying prepares a request; it does not run REA or change your software or files.
It depends on the task. An authorized installation may be needed to observe native behaviour; owned exports can answer different questions. Official product access and login may require you.
Use files you own or are authorized to analyze, including required references. Native-format and add-in support still need to be checked against the current tools.
A downloadable target-specific guide, shared REA setup reference and manual agent request. Full application reconstruction and automatic host installation have not been certified.
SOLIDWORKS analysis, reconstruction planning or part/assembly interoperability with authorized inputs. The reference separates native parts, assemblies and drawings from STEP/IGES, and records feature history, mates, configurations, units and external references.
Guide 0.1.0-preview · Checked 14 October 2026. Package integrity, target-reference contents and website handoff are checked. End-to-end REA execution for this software, native-format support and automatic installation in every agent remain unverified.
Check missing assembly references, add-ins, configurations and units before treating an output as comparable. A neutral export may answer a geometry question while leaving native history unknown. Keep originals and report unavailable evidence explicitly.
